Day two of what I learned today-- ready? Today I learned that someone's bad luck could be your good luck. Sure, bad luck is bad luck (for the victim,of course). But, if you've been waiting for a job for six months, then suddenly someone breaks their ankle and you get their position? hmm...SCORE. No more sleeping in and beeing upset and lazy and needing money-- you can go out, and spend and be just a little bit happier! And somewhere (deep deep down), that lady with a broken ankle is thinking, well at least someone else has got a job now. (yeah right). So there ya go-- if you're the unfortunate victim of a stroke of bad luck, then try and think of a way that someone else is benefitting from that luck and let that make you happy.
Let's try an example, shall we?
You lose $20.
You're pissed, fuckin annoyed, and desperately scour your last steps to see where the hell you left it. But, on the other hand, someone else is $20 richer. Now unless the person who found your money is already a rich bastard (in that case, fuck 'em), then chances are that the person who found it is actually really really happy. For instance, one morning I rummaged through my backpack to find a couple bucks for a coffee since Timmie's doesn't take debit (btw its 2010 peeps), anyway, I have my bag on a table and am collecting dimes and nickels from the mess at the bottom, then coincidentally I look up and there's a five dollar bill hanging out of the vending machine. I'm all, wtf, how do you leave this here and not notice. Whatever, taxed! Sure I looked around first to see if anyone was looking for some lost money-- no one was, so I took the cash, bought my coffee, and dropped the change in the Haiti donations box in the student center. SEE, benefits all around! I got my coffee and Haiti got three dollars. Nice.
So, when your luck is down, just try to think-- maybe somewhere out there, someone's day just got a little bit better.

you make me smile..that is all :D
