That's What Friends Are For

Had a good day today-- the girls came over for no reason. We hung out, watched hours of television, had pizza, made fun of Josephine. It was great. Trekked out into the lovely evening for ice cream at Murphy's. Never been there before-- always a first of sorts recently. It was good, not great, but good.
Photobucket We sat outside watching an adorable little boy play with bubbles-- he had a mohawk and everything, so cute. PhotobucketI was trying to figure out what the memorial is for-- I went around a couple of sides, it didn't give much information, besides the names of the people it's immortalized. It's a nice gesture, all the same. I wonder if there's anyone who still knows any of these people-- far far descendants, since it's dated back to 1918. PhotobucketIt's a cute little area of Mississauga-- everyone seems to know everyone here, like they do back home-- there were reunions taking place all around us, we felt like walking up and just striking a conversation convincing others that they knew us, simply because we could. It was a good time, nice weather, nice company.

Went back to Mary's house after-- had some hard laughs and hard drinks. Discovered a new friend hiding under her desk, she sang to us for a little while. I videotaped it for you:
I can't figure out how to make it portrait style, so you'll just have to tilt your head and enjoy. She was absolutely hillarious, I couldn't stop laughing. Her mouth moved so perfectly and everything, kudos to Racha for the added hand movements.

We spent an hour scanning you tube for different videos-- there are a lot of depressed people out there, f'real. And their mission is to take us down with them. Some of the nicest videos are in memorium-- a fitting theme for the day. It's interesting to see the different songs or photos someone will choose to best suit someone they love. Each tells a story, each strikes a new memory. I realized today, how important photos and videos are. They are your tribute to those you leave behind. they will be the only tangible evidence that you had ever existed, and its something they need, something they crave in order to make it through the day. I need to start taking more photos, start making more videos. I need to think of what I will leave behind.
